PANELA is a soft and creamy cheese from the cottage cheese family. It’s mild and smooth and known for its ability to blend well with pastes and sauces. It is one of Mexico’s most used and loved cheeses. The most common use for panela cheese is in sandwiches, quesadillas, served on its own with garlic paste or chili pepper, and can even be grilled or fried making it a great substitute for Halloumi or Ricotta Alta. The cheese is fresh, lightly salted with sea salt.
This Fresh Cheese is produced by our Partner Local Artisanal Cheese Makers using our Fresh Ranch Raw Milk, free of colorants and additives. Made in small batches, every 15 days. Please do allow up to 12 days for delivery of this product, depending on stock. If you have other Items on your order, we will delivery those items first, then your cheese.
